Information Technology Consultant – Account Lead

Sole person in charge of the account for Illinois Tool Works – Commercial Construction North America.  Responsible for day to day technical support and advice along with project management and future development.  Part of a team of four individuals responsible for the IT support of 300 users and eleven physical locations spread out across the nation from Oregon to Georgia.

  • Responsible for network infrastructure upgrades and maintenance.
  • Responsible for designing, creating and maintaining a network infrastructure that is currently in use by three separate companies in a shared warehouse project by ITW.
  • Responsible for the network overhaul project which eliminated redundant networks and equipment from production.  During the project we removed 45 physical servers and created 15 virtual servers in the process.
  • Had an integral part in creating a true mesh network via site-to-site VPN’s and using better routing solutions, eliminating costly point to point solutions and creating faster connections from users to their data.
  • Worked with sales and other staff from around the county providing them with timely and proficient technical solutions to make their job as seamless as possible.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting networking and software errors across the network.
